Ruby is so powerful that even an ignorant person, living
a sinful life and surrounded by deadly enemies is saved.
In India it is believed that anyone wearing a
Ruby would
be freed from diseases caused by any imbalance of the
bodily functions, or cured of any ailments of the blood.
According to old Indian lore skeptics can witness the
power of
Ruby if they place one:
• On an unopened lotus bud, which will open up and blossom.
• In a glass jar, where a red light will be seen to
emit.
• Together with
pearls on a
silver plate, then placing
it in sunlight where the
silver plate will appear black,
the
pearls will glow red and the
Ruby will shine like
the Sun.
A genuine
Ruby possesses auspicious qualities, however,
woe be to those who wear
a Ruby of poor quality.
A Ruby,
although genuine, should not be worn if it has strong
color banding, excessive inclusions, internal cracks,
a rough surface, or is dull and lifeless. Anyone using
such
a Ruby, even if ignorant, will suffer from disease
and, or loss of fortune.
