Transparent clarity Sapphire is very rare. The reason for this is that the minerals iron and titanium that give a Sapphire its color are also responsible for causing a multitude of fissures and tiny irregularities inside the corundum crystal as it forms.

Inclusions are common in Sapphire and do not affect the quality, unless they drastically reduce the transparency of

the gem, or are positioned in the center of its table. In fact the case for inclusions in a Sapphire runs to quite to the contrary, with inclusions acting like a fingerprint affirming its unique and genuine individual personality.
